Gwyrdd isn’t just the colour on our logo, it’s a big part of our business, too.
Whether it’s empowering businesses to build greener futures through stakeholder engagement; applying behavioural science to encourage sustainable travel in Wales; or supporting the growth of our native language — we actively seek to work with brands that do good for Cymru, its economies, communities, and environment.
Here are just a handful of our campaigns that are putting sustainable causes in the limelight…
1. EmpowerCymru — with Net Zero Industry Wales
In collaboration with Net Zero Industry Wales (NZIW), we concepted and launched EmpowerCymru — an event that brought together more than 160 industry leaders across private and public sector to discuss the barriers and opportunities affecting Wales’ journey to net zero.
With keynote speakers including the Secretary of State for Wales and representatives from EY, RWE, Celsa Steel UK and Natural Resources Wales, the high-profile event attracted key decision makers, politicians and investors to help unlock funding and find solutions to move forward with ambitious net zero industry projects in Wales.
2. Climate Action Wales — with SBW
Behavioural science tells us that trusted sources are one of the most powerful ways to ignite behaviour change.
So, when our friends over at SBW — one of Wales’ leading creative ad agencies — called on us to provide specialist influencer marketing support for its Climate Action Wales campaign with Welsh Government, we were happy to help.
Adopting a micro and nano influencer approach allowed us to enlist an ‘army’ of influencers across a range of segmented audiences. We provided creative ‘assignments’ to a mix of UGC creators and influencers across a range of sustainable themes.
The result?
Our collaborations have produced bilingual short-form content from parents, gardeners, small business owners, sustainable fashion influencers, foodies and academics alike — clocking up hundreds of thousands of views. The content succeeded in sharing quick and easy ways that people can make a difference to support climate change in Wales.
3. Protecting the great outdoors of Wales — with National Parks Wales
Here at Equinox, we prioritise the well-being of Wales every single day — so it’s apt that we’ve worked with all three National Parks in Wales, to encourage sustainable practices in Bannau Brycheiniog, Eryri and the Pembrokeshire Coast.
It started with a joint ‘National Parks Wales’ sustainable tourism campaign in 2022 — but across 2023 and 2024 we’ve worked with all three National Park Authorities individually — to support the seven well-being goals of the Well-being of Future Generations Act (Wales).
From social media content to strategic PR and stakeholder engagement, key highlights include:
Securing coverage in The Telegraph and an OTS of over two million within just three months of working with PCNPA…*pats ourselves on the back*
Generating nearly 13,000 clicks to a webpage for Bannau Brycheiniog residents to pledge their love for the Rivers Usk and Wye.
Producing Instagram reels and meeting real people in Gwynedd in Eryri — as part of a sustainable tourism campaign which has reached nearly 500k users (completely organically) within 2 months.
