Twenty twelve has been a year of great successes – from Team GB flying the flag at the London 2012 Olympics to Team EC scooping Outstanding PR Agency at the PRide Cymru Awards. And from inflatable corgis to ‘The Equinox Experience’, here the team shares just a couple of their personal highlights and memorable moments from the last twelve months… Zara, Director and Head of Communications – “For me, it’s winning the Cadw account and Outstanding PR Consultancy. Personally, walking in the Beacons, watching Rosie in her nativity and Christmas party dancing!” Becky, PR Assistant – “Landing that all-important first graduate PR job at Equinox, mastering the art of the press release and securing some great pieces of coverage ahead of the ‘Fly-tipping Free Wales’ conference in Cardiff. All proud firsts for me!” Catrin, Account Director – “Establishing ‘The Equinox Experience’, a formal internship scheme giving Cardiff University’s MA in International Public Relations and Global Communications Management students and other graduates a unique chance to experience working at the sharp end of a thriving communications agency.” Elinor, Senior Account Executive – “From delivering social media training and sharing best practice at a Cyswllt event for Welsh language communicators, to a cameo appearance on BBC Newyddion and recording a video voiceover – 2012 has been a year of firsts!” Kate, Associate Director – “Taking an inflatable corgi for a walk at our Kings and Queens Christmas party! But seriously, winning Outstanding PR Agency, welcoming fab new team members and working with some brilliant new and existing clients.”
Annabel, PR Assistant – “Being welcomed into such a friendly team of people who are more than willing to answer my many questions! I’ve learned a huge amount in only five months.” Helen, Senior Account Manager – “Developing Equinox’s social media and delivering training at Cardiff University’s Centre for Lifelong Learning. I also enjoyed implementing the Dare To Discover social media campaign and working with a great blogger – Bald Hiker.” Tristan, Marketing and Events Manager – “Joining the fantastic team and working on successful marketing projects such as the Cadw Treftadaeth Conference. I’ve also enjoyed helping to develop the agency’s Public Affairs offering by working with new client Charity Retail Association to lobby against the Welsh Government’s proposed cuts to rate relief for charity shops in Wales.” Louise, Account Executive – “‘I can’t pick one highlight, but from photo-calls in the torrential wind and rain, to working with clients in brand new sectors for me, and having two great new PR Assistants on board, it’s been an eventful 2012.” Eryl, Managing Director – “2012 has been a remarkable year for Equinox, its best yet! Without a doubt, highlights include winning new, high profile contracts and the coveted Outstanding PR Agency at the PRide Cymru Awards – this crowned an excellent year for the agency and the team deserve the accolade.” From all the team at Equinox, Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
