Our Mission

Stagecoach commissioned Equinox to promote and raise awareness of its investment in new buses and increased frequencies on key routes in South Wales.

Our Approach

The overall objective was increasing passenger numbers and building a positive reputation but Equinox also set out to communicate that traveling by Stagecoach bus is an easy, cost-effective, safe and comfortable form of transport as well showing that it cares about the community and has an open relationship with the media.

Equinox planned a high profile event to launch the new buses, inviting them guests and media to “have a go” on one of the new vehicles.

This was complemented by community press stories; local art competitions for children; competitions for the public with shopping vouchers as prizes and regular releases to the media outlining passenger growth numbers.

The Result

Complemented by marketing activities, passenger growth figures continue to rise along key routes since PR work began in 2004.

Coverage has been extremely positive and Equinox continues to tailor every release, feature or event to ensure that the on-going media relations campaign stays fresh and achieves its objectives.
