Equinox has considerable experience of working within the transport and motoring industries and success with one of its first clients, Mazda, led to commissions from Toyota, Ford and BMW.

Our Mission

The fundamental requirement was awareness of dealerships, new product and new car launches and community relations activity.

Our Approach

To fulfil Mazda’s requirement, Equinox adopted a pro-active media relations campaign which drip-fed regular newsworthy stories to the local media.

As well as general motoring, business and human interest stories, Equinox organised a number of events to complement the media relations plan such as Ladies Day at Mazda, open day for free car maintenance advice and motor sports events.

For BMW, Equinox organised a high profile launch of its Rydale BMW dealership, one of five owned in the UK by the Ryland Group plc.

For Toyota, Equinox organised a special event for guests to be the first in Wales to see the new Toyota Corolla, an event which coincided with the opening of a new £2million Ryburn Toyota facility by former Top Gear and now Five’s Fifth Gear presenter Tiff Needell.

The Result

For all three car dealerships, Equinox activity produced many column inches of press coverage as well as considerable broadcast time. In BMW’s case, more than 100 Minis were sold within two months of the launch of their investment in new premises.

Mazda continues to be one of the long standing clients of Equinox in a relationship that has spanned more than a decade.
