Talbot Green Shopping Park

Equinox was commissioned in 2007 to raise awareness of Talbot Green Shopping Park and its value to people in the surrounding community. The task also included helping to attract shoppers and visitors from further afield.

Our Mission

Marketing and PR services included the creation of an official website, a mix of on-site and off-site marketing activities as well as tenant, community and local council liaison.

Our Approach

Increasing footfall at the Park, especially at quieter times, was key to the first stage so Equinox launched a series of marketing activities to draw in customers. There were targeted radio campaigns demonstrating extended opening hours, easy access and range of products.

Equinox also introduced bus ticket advertising, leaflet distribution and the use of different marketing materials to ensure clear and consistent branding.

The Talbot Green website has been set up along with a Tenant Directory issued to 10,000 households and businesses and a series of stories have been circulated to local and national Welsh media.

A charity of the year has been identified and fund-raising started in 2008. Liaison with the local council on community events remains an important part of the work to ensure the community is included in Park life.

The Result

Visitor numbers have increased and a significant rise in footfall has been seen at key times such as late night shopping and daytime through the week.

The Park is seen as a key high street fashion destination and comment columns have been run in regional press. Links with college courses and industry commentators also help to raise awareness.

A green action plan has been developed as well as links with community groups including 2008 Talbot Green Charity of the Year, Ty Gwyn Education Centre.
