In July 2013 Swansea Bay became Wales’ first City Region and with it, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, was announced as one of the four founding Local Authorities alongside Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and the City and County of Swansea.
Equinox Communications, as the retained PR and marketing agency for Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, was asked to help the Council take the lead in promoting the new City Region.
Equinox organised a suite of three consecutive events specifically aimed at inducting and engaging local private and public sector organisations across the four LA areas into the new City Region concept.
The three events were – an inaugural City Region dinner, followed by a one day conference and supported by a media event to mark the official opening of Harbour Way, a strategic new link road to the M4, by the First Minister.
